How to join the city
Everything you need to get from a fresh install to your first spawn.
What you need
- A legitimate copy of Grand Theft Auto V — Steam, Rockstar, or Epic.
- FiveM, from fivem.net. Install it and let it run once so it can patch itself.
- A Discord account, which is how we identify you here.
Connecting
The quickest way in is the Play button on the home page. It hands you straight to FiveM and connects you.
If the button does nothing, FiveM is probably not installed yet, or your browser is blocking the handover. Open FiveM yourself, press F8, and use the connect command shown on the home page.
The first load takes a while
The first time you connect, the city downloads a large amount of custom content. Ten to twenty minutes on a normal connection is completely normal, and it only happens once. Do not close FiveM while it is downloading — you will start again from scratch.
Then what
You will land in character creation. Take your time with it: your character is the thing everything else here is built on. When you are done, read your first hour in the city.
